Michelle Maday heard a knock at the door. When she opened it to look at who it was, she found a suspicious -looking man. He then came in, beat and choked her until she was unconscious. While she lay on the floor he walked into the bathroom and filled the tub with water. He then proceeded to drowned her. Later he made a statement saying he had no feeling for killing and innocent woman

August 2002

Lori Lister was driving back to her Houston apartment  when a man in a red hooded sweatshirt suddenly came up behind her and strangled her into semi-unconsciousness. She manged to let out a small scream for help.

Melinda Aguilar

As he pulled Lori up the stairs the attack confronted Melinda. He threatened to slit her throat if she screamed. The attacker then choked her until her body went limp. Little did he know that she was just faking the unconsciousness. He then took some hangers and tied her hands behind her back, placing her on the bed. Then he wrapped Lori's hands and feet with hangers as well. He was so ecstatic that he jumped up and down clapping over the two women he had control over. The attacker then went into the bathroom and began filling the tub with water. At this moment Melinda jumped off the second story balcony. She then screamed for help hoping it wasn't too late to save her friend.

The attacker is caught and identified

With in moments for the screams police arrived. When the attacker heard the sirens he tried to escape. The police apprehended him in the complex courtyard. The police found  Lori submerged in the tub full of water, lucky she just escaped death. Investigators identified the attacker as Carl "Coral" Eugene Watts. When asked why he killed the women he said they have "evil eyes" and he wanted to "release their spirits". Carl openly admitted to 80 murders, and said if they let him out he would kill again. He found the only way to be happy was to kill.
